That's me. Guessing is extended until 3:00PM EST also known as NOON PDT.
So far? We've gotten a lot more comments than we have guesses, which leaves me mildly (yeah, sure) annoyed with the world in general. Come on guys! Fun fic, fun challenge, paid LJ time! If I threw in a couple of blowjobs, this could seriously be the best thing you ever do in your life. To the seven people who have already turned in guesses and the twenty-six authors who participated (yes, even the ones who didn't quite make the time limit), you all rock, and rock hardcore.

Rules for guessing are as follows:
1. Have fun with it!
2. Be creative! Be sneaky! Follow up the author's page links, and find out their writing styles--no one said this had to be randomized. Channel the investigative reporter in yourself!
3. Keep a list of your guesses according to # on the story, and send to sv_undercover (at) yahoo.com by NOON August 1st. NO GUESSING IN THE LJ COMMENTS--you wouldn't want to give people all your clever hints now, would you? However, you may leave feedback comments for the authors -- tell them how much you love it!
4. Also, abstain from guessing on the stories you helped to beta. Kinda sucks the mystery out of the thing.

Story acceptance is now officially closed.
Twenty-five authors in alphabetical order, twenty-five stories in whatever-the-heck order I clicked on them while posting last night, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to match author with story. The winner with the most correct guesses will be given glory, fame, and hot chicks, as well as six months of paid LJ time--the losers will be ritually flogged and humiliated, forced to vote straight ticket Republican, and beta read ff.net--in its entirety.

As all the terrified hyperventilating may indicate to participants, today is the day we harvest your souls stories.
They were due at noon today, but as lyra_sena and rageprufrock both suck a lot will be out of commission and eating grilled tofu until late tonight, you're welcome to send in your story any time throughout the day, as we will be be organizing and posting them sometime in the wee hours of this morning. (Which makes loads of sense, seeing as I have to be at work at nine AM on Monday morning.)
Either way, if you need more time, take it; if you absolutely cannot make it, don't stress out too much. And most importantly, happy writing!

The deadline for the challenge is coming up soon! Whoa, Sunday soon! We still need links from some people for their websites, because clearly Pru and Lyra are lazy human beings and don't want to hunt them down. We'll be putting up the links on Saturday, so please send them to sv_undercover (at) yahoo.com.
Email fics on Sunday to that same address. Send them as word attachments or a text file, but for either format, please html code anything that needs to be, so the fic will look the way you want it to. (ie, some people like to use *stars* for italics, while others prefer to actually italicize the word. Code the italics, etc.
Have fun! We've gotten some great fics so far!

Sign-ups are officially closed! Woot! Let the writing begin. We have 32 writers, whoa. Thanks to all who signed up. Writers, if you will, please send a link to all your fic to sv_undercover (at) yahoo.com. We will be posting the links for guessers in the next few days so they can read your fic and get a feel for your style. Also, if you haven't friended this journal, please go ahead and do that, as rageprufrock and lyra_sena won't be posting reminders in our personal journals.

Rules:
1. Story must be 1,000 - 1,500 words long.
2. Story must be emailed to sv_undercover (at) yahoo.com by Sunday July 25 at Noon EST.
3. No AUs. Pre- and post- canon is fine, but if the story is set within the show's timeframe, please stay reasonably in canon.
4. Beta readers must abstain from guessing the stories they beta. (If you guess, simply indicate any you beta as 'abstain')

Welcome to Smallville Undercover. Look! It's a challenge! It's a contest! It's a great big ole load of fun!
Smallville Undercover is based off of ds_undercover and secret_ids. We're calling all writers in the Smallville fandom to participate and get a little action going during the steamy months of summer.
A challenge prompt will be given and writers will have two weeks to complete a story of 1,000 - 1,500 words. (Depending on the number of you who respond, fics will be broken into rounds of 20 writers each). Stories will then be posted anonymously and everyone will scramble to guess who wrote them!
Fics can be gen, het, slash, or interspecies (ie: Bo Kent and Heifer #4--theirloveissofarmy), so everyone is encouraged to sign up!
If you are interested in writing, please leave a note in the comments below. You may sign up until midnight EST, July 4th.
Oh, btw. Your hosts are the ever delightful and mischievous lyra_sena and rageprufrock. Please come and play with us! We're deliriously bored this summer and tired of climbing five damn flights of steps every day because of a broken elevator! So do your part and join us in the sandbox!
